A slow paced cottagecore fantasy story about an antisocial librarian and her leafy little assistant that makes you feel warm and cozy. I appreciate the realism of having to build up a whole new life in a foreign place, its not just "we are here now" and done. It takes time, effort and some character development to start over somewhere new. This leads to some funny shenanigans along the way such as making jam, figuring out some spells, one or two failed experiments and a found family of some sort. *Spolier ahead* While personally not a fan of reading romance I really enjoyed whatever Kiela and Larran got going on, that cutesy helpful neighbor thingy? Sign me up! I could´ve read that book for years :) ~ཐིཋྀ

Die Geschichte ist sehr herzlich, gemütlich, aber keinesfalls langweilig - alles, was man sich von "Cozy Fantasy" wünscht. Das Buch ist eine sehr schöne Abwechslung, weil es gerade nicht um gefährliche Prüfungen, epische Schlachten oder explizit beschriebene Leidenschaft geht. Die Charaktere sind so süß wie die Marmelade, die in Kielas Shop gekocht wird, und zaubern einem ein Lächeln auf die Lippen. Die Welt ist gut beschrieben und wirkt stimmig, sodass man sie am Ende eigentlich gar nicht verlassen will.
