For me, even if I didn't know it, I've been hoping and waiting for a book just like this, ever since Sapkowski's Witcher series.

It's gory, it's funny, it's emotional

I loved everything about this book, the characters, the writing style, the story. Everything worked perfectly together. Flawed characters that make you laugh on one page and maybe very angry on the next one. I still cannot tell you how I feel about some of them in the end, and I actually really love that. If you want actual morally grey characters, you will find them here! I cannot wait to read more from Cameron Sullivan (and hopefully more about Sebastian)
