Heated Rivalry (Deluxe Limited Edition)

This is the first time I’ve read Queer Romance and I’m totally here for it. The switches between Shane and Ilya helped understand both characters very good and really got me into the story. The backstory of both men, but especially Ilya, is emotional and I like that it wasn’t just overlooked. I must say that there was very much smut in this book and maybe there could have been a bit more background but that is just a minor complaint and nothing that made the book nearly unreadable. It wasn’t my first Hockey romance and will definitely not be my last either.

... or romance...or both! Plot: Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are both top-tier hockey players and famous for their rivalry. But what nobody knows is just how heated their rivalry actually is. It all begins with one simple knock on a hotel room door, and for many years to come, it is nothing more, isn’t it? Or are there more feelings involved than they want to admit? Design: Perfectly matching the plot, we see Hollander and Rozanov on the cover in their hockey gear, in their famous face-off position. The chapters are a nice length, making it easy to read several in one sitting without getting tired. Reid not only makes you feel the tension between the two of them, but also leaves plenty of room for laughter with her undoubtedly humorous dialogue. And even if you don’t like hockey, you will very quickly become a supporter of Shane and Ilya. If you enjoy spicy scenes, you will get exactly what you’re looking for, alongside romance, friendship, and, of course, rivalry. Conclusion: 5 stars for this spicy hockey romance! I definitely want to read more about the two of them.

Noch nie habe ich eine so packende und gleichzeitig spicy Enemys to Lovers Story gelesen. Die Charaktere, der Smut, die Lovestory alles ist unschlagbar. Vor allem auf Englisch ein unfassbar schönes Buch.

Mir wurde das Buch empfohlen von einer Verkäuferin, weil ich einfach mal was ganz anderes wollte. Ich finde es ist eine sehr intensive richtig schöne Liebesgeschichte. Ich habe so eine Liebesgeschichte das erste Mal gelesen und fand es sehr interessant, aber auch sehr schön geschrieben. Ich kann das Buch auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.
