Meine letzte Rezension Songs for the Broken von Maren Vivien Haase
Songs for the Broken hat mir insgesamt richtig gut gefallen. Ich war schon nach wenigen Kapiteln komplett in der Geschichte drin und bis weit über die Hälfte des Buches auch total gefesselt. Besonders Presley und Kaden haben mir unglaublich gut gefallen. Ich war von Anfang an einen großen Fan von ihnen und bin es immer noch. Die Chemie zwischen den beiden war bereits bei ihrem ersten Aufeinandertreffen spürbar und ich habe die ganze Zeit mit ihnen mitgefiebert. Achtung, Spoiler! Was mir allerdings gar nicht gefallen hat, war Kadens Reaktion auf die Bilder von Presley. Ich verstehe, dass seine Vergangenheit ihn geprägt hat und dass er dadurch Schwierigkeiten hat, anderen zu vertrauen. Trotzdem hätte ich diese Form der Misskommunikation an dieser Stelle wirklich nicht gebraucht. Für mich wäre es viel stimmiger gewesen, wenn er Presley erst die Möglichkeit gegeben hätte, sich zu erklären, anstatt sofort vom Schlimmsten auszugehen. Vor allem, weil er zuvor immer wieder bemerkt hat, wie anders sie sich in Calebs Gegenwart verhält und wie schlecht es ihr in dieser Situation ging. Dass sein erster Gedanke war, sie hätte etwas mit Caleb, statt zu hinterfragen, ob sie sich vielleicht unwohl oder sogar bedroht fühlt, hat für mich einfach nicht zu seinem Charakter und der gesamten Situation gepasst. Abgesehen von diesem Punkt hat mir das Buch aber wirklich sehr gefallen. Besonders das Konzept hinter Presleys neuem Album fand ich unglaublich kreativ und berührend. Ich war richtig begeistert von dieser Idee, und ihre Freude und Begeisterung darüber wurde so greifbar beschrieben, dass ich sie beim Lesen direkt mitfühlen konnte. Insgesamt ist Songs for the Broken für mich eine emotionale, mitreißende Geschichte mit zwei großartigen Hauptfiguren. Auch wenn mich der Konflikt gegen Ende etwas gestört hat, überwiegen für mich die vielen schönen Momente und die starke Dynamik zwischen Presley und Kaden.

    Addicted to You

    Rereading this series always feels like coming home. The world the authors created is so familiar and comforting that it’s impossible not to fall back into it immediately. One of my favorite things about these books is how many incredible characters there are and how much they grow throughout the story. You really get to watch them change, learn, and evolve over time, which makes everything feel so real. There are so many amazing characters to love, and their journeys stay with you long after you finish reading. But at the center of it all are Lily and Lo. Their relationship truly has everything: years of yearning, childhood friends to lovers, and even fake dating. Their story feels emotional, layered, and completely earned, which makes it so special to read. I also love the little details that make them who they are, like their shared love of movies. The movie nerd moments add such a fun and unique element to their relationship. Another thing that makes this series stand out is that it doesn’t rely on typical topics or storylines. Instead, it explores deeper and more complex themes, which makes the story feel even more meaningful. This series will always feel like home to me. ❤

    Heartstopper Volume 6

    For me, Heartstopper Volume 6 is the perfect conclusion to this wonderful series. Of course, I’m sad that Nick and Charlie’s story has now come to an end, but I think this was exactly the right time for it. It feels like a satisfying conclusion, not a needlessly drawn-out sequel. I especially liked that this volume doesn’t just focus on Charlie’s development, but also gives more space to Nick’s own struggles. This makes both characters seem even more realistic and relatable. To me, Nick and Charlie are two incredibly strong, authentic, and lovable characters, which is why I’ve grown so fond of them throughout the entire series. In terms of plot, you follow the two of them as they continue their journey together, coming to terms with the changes their future holds. The story explores love, friendship, growing up, and the uncertainties that come with new stages of life. Despite the emotional themes, the story conveys a great deal of hope and warmth. The ending completely swept me away. The parallel to the first book made me incredibly emotional, and especially in the second half, I cried almost the entire time. I barely got any sleep because of this book, but for Heartstopper, it was definitely worth it. The title Heartstopper couldn’t be more fitting. Every time I finished reading a new volume, I felt as if my heart had stopped for a brief moment, out of joy, excitement, or emotion. And Volume 6 perfectly captured that very feeling one last time.

    The Blood we crave – Teil 1

    The Blood We Crave hat mich emotional komplett eingenommen und lässt mich auch nach dem Lesen nicht los. Besonders Lyra und Thatcher sind für mich als Couple absolut unvergesslich geblieben. Seit ich über sie gelesen habe, gehen sie mir nicht mehr aus dem Kopf, weil ihre Dynamik so intensiv und ungewöhnlich ist, dass man sie kaum mit anderen Romance-Paaren vergleichen kann. Lyra ist dabei ein Charakter, der mich besonders fasziniert hat. Sie wirkt wie zwei Menschen in einer: Einerseits kennt man sie aus den ersten beiden Büchern der Reihe, andererseits zeigt sie in ihrer eigenen Geschichte eine ganz neue, deutlich dunklere Seite. Sie ist „dark“ und teilweise auch sehr eigenwillig und ungewöhnlich, aber gleichzeitig unglaublich empathisch und liebevoll. Genau diese Mischung habe ich so in dem Genre bisher kaum gesehen. Oft wirken Dark-Romance-Charaktere entweder kalt oder zerstörerisch, Lyra dagegen vereint beides auf eine sehr besondere Art. Beim Lesen hatte ich ständig das Gefühl, sie könnte direkt aus einem Tim-Burton-Film stammen. Die ganze Atmosphäre des Buches war für mich deshalb auch geprägt von einem spooky, halloweenartigen, fast schon Dark-Academia-Vibe. ❤︎ Thatcher ist das komplette Gegenteil und gerade dadurch so spannend. Am Anfang wirkt er wie ein klassischer, gefühlsloser Psychopath, mit dem ich ehrlich gesagt nicht viel anfangen konnte. Doch mit der Zeit entwickelt sich sein Charakter langsam weiter, ohne dabei seine grundlegende Seite komplett zu verlieren. Und genau das wirkt sehr realistisch. Besonders beeindruckend fand ich, wie stark seine inneren Konflikte dargestellt werden: seine Gefühle für Lyra, die er sich nicht eingestehen will, und wie genau dieser Kampf ihn regelrecht in den Wahnsinn treibt. Diese Entwicklung war so intensiv geschrieben. .ೀ Insgesamt ist The Blood We Crave für mich der stärkste Band der Reihe und gleichzeitig mein absolutes Highlight aus dem letzten Jahr.

    Daydream

    This Story was truly written for the eldest daughter and i can't explain how much this Book means to me. It already had me Halle and Henry are just unbelievably cute together! I especially love how Henry and Halle support and help each other grow — their dynamic is simply perfect. The story is a great mix of friends-to-lovers, found family, and sports romance, which completely pulled me in. You can really feel that Hannah Grace poured a lot of herself and her heart into this story. That makes the book incredibly deep and it touched me on a personal level. For all Taylor Swift fans, the playlist is a real bonus that makes the reading experience even better. Overall, this book definitely ranks among my absolute favorites! What impressed me most was how sensitively the author addresses topics like people pleasing, the feeling of loneliness, overly high expectations, and ADHD. This gives the story a special depth that is rarely experienced.

    The Truths we burn

    Die jahrelange Anspannung und Sehnsucht in diesem Buch war kaum auszuhalten. Leute die sagen “Enemies to Lovers” gibt es nur in Fantasy kennen offensichtlich Rook und Sage nicht! Monty Jay hat mit dem zweiten Teil meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Ich habe mir mehr als nur einmal die Haare gerauft während dem Lesen und ich musste auch mehr als einmal Weinen. Wahrscheinlich wirst du wie ich nach dem Buch mehrere Wochen an nichts anderes denken können. Die Art und Weise wie die ganze Storyline immer mehr sinn ergibt und alles irgendwie zusammen kommt ist einfach so gut gemacht. Mir ist teilweise die Kinnlade runtergefallen. Also auch hier wieder eine Herzensempfehlung von mir, Monty Jay hat einen tollen weiteren Band geschrieben.

    Wrath of an Exile

    This book absolutely broke me in the best way. The emotional heartbreak throughout the story was intense, and by the time I finished, I felt completely wrecked. It’s one of those books that leaves you sitting there for a moment afterwards, just trying to process everything that happened. What really makes the story work are the characters. They feel vivid and real, and the bonds between them are written so well that every interaction carries weight. The relationships, whether friendships or rivalries, feel meaningful and layered, which makes the emotional moments hit even harder. The enemies to lovers dynamic is another highlight. The tension between the characters is constant, and the story does a great job of showing both perspectives. You understand where each of them is coming from, which somehow makes everything even more frustrating and emotional at the same time. You want them to figure things out, but the misunderstandings and conflicts feel believable. At the same time, it carries a strong sense of nostalgia, especially if you already know the characters from Hollow Boys. Seeing familiar faces again adds another layer to the experience and makes the story feel even more personal. Overall, it’s an emotional, character driven story that leaves a lasting impact and one that definitely finished me by the end.

    Boys of Tommen 3: Saving 6

    Joey Lynch kümmert sich schon seitdem er 12 ist um seine Geschwister und stellt sie auch immer an erste Stelle, da er aus einem schrecklichen Haushalt kommt übernimmt er sozusagen die Elternrolle für sie. Er gerät auf die schiefe Bahn und entwickelt dabei eine ungesunde und gefährliche Art und Weise um mit seinen Problemen umzugehen. Dabei vergessen Joey und der Rest der Welt ganz oft sich auch mal um ihn zu Kümmern. Aber er lernt Aoife kennen und für sie steht Joey immer an erster Stelle. Sie ist für ihn da und greift ihm unter die Arme. Erst beschließen die zwei nur Freunde zu bleiben doch eigentlich empfinden sie viel mehr für einander und das schon länger.  Die "Boys of Tommen" Reihe ist so ein krass emotionales auf und ab und ich musste bei jedem einzelnen Band heulen!! Es sind unfassbar starke Charaktere die einen bewegen und auch ans Herz wachsen. Ich denke zu oft an diese Reihe.

    The Words We Keep

    This Book takes a lot of space up in my Heart. Lily Larkin writes beautiful Poems and Micah Mendez does amazing Art, that's they way they cope with their problems. Through the book, they are building a pretty good Friendship and help each other in the worst times. But is there more? And is Lily ready to show Micah the Parts she never showed anyone? I cried a lot while reading this book. Mental Health is such a big Topic and it just felt so healing reading about what Lily and Micah are going through and how they are helping each other. I feel like this could be a pick for a lot of people that want to see themselves in a Bookcharakter.

    Until the Ribbon Breaks

    Warning: Only read this book if you want to feel like someone has stabbed you in the heart, ripped it out, and trampled it on the ground. Until the Ribbon Breaks is one of those books that doesn’t just move you, it completely throws you off balance. Even from your first impressions, it’s clear just how intense and emotional the story is, and how deeply it lingers with you after you finish reading. At the center of the story is Harlow, a very complex and profound character. She doesn’t come across as one-dimensional, but rather as a character with real inner conflicts, doubts, and a past that has deeply shaped her. It is precisely this complexity that makes her so relatable and ensures that you experience her thoughts and decisions with great intensity. A particularly important part of the story is the friendship between Harlow and Sebastian. Their relationship develops gently and, as a result, feels very authentic. A bond emerges that is full of warmth and closeness, yet is also accompanied by pain and uncertainty. It is precisely this contrast that makes their dynamic so touching and tragic at the same time. Overall, the book is very emotional and heavy, but that is precisely what makes it so powerful and meaningful. It explores feelings of loss, heartbreak, and hope in a way that lingers in your mind and doesn’t let go easily. It’s not an easy read, but one that deliberately gets under your skin.

    Not Quite Dead Yet

    Holly Jackson beweist einmal mehr, dass sie eine absolut empfehlenswerte Autorin ist. Ich hatte das Buch in nur zwei Tagen durchgelesen. Besonders packend: Die Ermittlerin ist zugleich Opfer und muss unter Zeitdruck handeln, was den Roman einen besonderen Twist verleiht. Die Hauptprotagonistin, Jet, überzeugt für mich dabei mit ihrer unverblümten, humorvollen und zugleich verletzlichen Art, die sie meiner Meinung nach noch menschlicher wirken lässt. Ich finde das man sich sehr schnell in ihr wieder erkennen kann.
