Ohanami ist das perfekte Kartenspiel für zwei Personen, egal ob unterwegs oder zuhause. Und dann sind die Karten auch noch so wunderschön illustriert, dass man bei Sammeln immer die schönsten Karten haben will. Ein Spaß auch beim 15-mal spielen.

Sunrise on the Reaping

This book was incredible. A true rollercoaster of emotions. From happiness to sadness in just a couple of pages. Full of nostalgia and familiar faces, the book sheds a new light on Haymitch Abernathy and the Second Quarter Quell. These games with double the tributes feel extra gruesome compared to the games from the other books. We also learn a lot more about District 12, the Capitol and President Snow. It has definitely thrown me back into my Hunger Games phase and made me watch the first four movies again. And while watching, some scenes that might have seemed unimportant, made sense in some way after reading the new book. Get ready for a lot of tears, emotional damage, a great epilogue and a story that couldn’t be more relevant.

Windstärke 17

Es ist viel passiert seitdem Tilda für ihre Promotion nach Berlin gegangen ist. Ihre Mutter ist gestorben, Ida ist pleite, hat die Wohnung gekündigt und weiß nicht ganz, was sie mit ihrem Leben anfangen soll. Auf ihrer Selbstfindungsreise landet sie auf Rügen. Dort findet sie so etwas wie eine zweite Familie mit Marianne und Knut, die sie herzlich bei sich zuhause aufgenommen haben. Als sie dann auch noch Leif kennenlernt, könnte man sagen, dass sie ihr Leben relativ gut in den Griff bekommen hat. Oder vielleicht doch nicht? Mir hat Idas Geschichte sogar noch ein bisschen besser gefallen als die von Tilda, weil ich mich in einigen Punkten wirklich mit Ida identifizieren konnte.

The Hunger Games 2. Catching Fire

This book was one of my favorites out of the whole series. Certain parts, like the aftermath of the games, were so exciting that I just couldn't put the book down. The 75th Hunger Games were by far the most interesting games since it's the third quarter quell and the tributes chosen have already won previous games. We also meet so many new characters that you just have to love or hate.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder

I have no words to express how good this book was. It captivated me so much that the book was practically glued to me. The characters were so well developed and simply lovable. The plot was perfect and I also found the way Holly Jackson structured the book very interesting. Throughout, there were pages showing Pip’s progress in the investigation or interviews with the people involved. Very excited for the rest of the series.

Hotel Ambrosia - Du. Entkommst. Nicht.

Dieses Buch hat mich total in seinen Bann gezogen. Die Atmosphäre war so geheimnisvoll und düster, sodass ich das Buch kaum aus der Hand legen konnte. Die Geschichte hat sich mit jeder Seite mehr und mehr in eine Richtung entfaltet, mit der ich am Anfang überhaupt nicht gerechnet habe. So mag ich meine Bücher am liebsten. Und ich sage mal so, wenn du Urlaub in Los Angeles machen möchtest, dann solltest du bei der Buchung ganz viel Abstand von diesem Hotel nehmen. Es sei denn, du hängst nicht sonderlich an deinem Leben.

22 Bahnen

Dieses Buch hat mir wirklich gut gefallen. Der Schreibstil war anfangs etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, war für mich aber im Endeffekt der Grund, weswegen ich das Buch innerhalb von zwei Tagen aufgesogen habe. Ich war sehr erstaunt, wie Tilda ihr Leben, trotz ihrer alkoholkranker Mutter und kleinen Schwester Ida, doch irgendwie so gut auf die Reihe bekommt und jeden Tag auch noch 22 oder 23 Bahnen schwimmen geht. Nachdem sie Viktor kennenlernt, stellt sich ihr komplettes Leben auf den Kopf. Tilda muss entscheiden, was für sie, aber auch für Ida zukünftig am besten ist. Emotional und echt.

The Hunger Games 1

Because I have watched the movies before, I knew what was coming, but I was still in awe about the book. It was so well written and I loved every single character. A great introduction to the whole Hunger Games series, which now already includes 5 books. I always recommend the series, when someone is looking for a great fantasy/dystopia book.

Good Girl, Bad Blood

The second book was weaker than the first, but still a good read. The story was definitely fun, but something was missing. Pip works together with Ravi to review the cases from the first book in a podcast that has accumulated a lot of followers. When the older brother of one of her best friends disappears, she uses this podcast to find him. Therefore breaking the promise that she never wanted to be confronted with any kind of danger again. Along the way, she also happens to solve a second case. So life in Little Kilton is never boring. I am very curious to see how the series ends with the third book.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes

Suzanne Collins definitely knows how to write a prequel. Yes, we all might hate President Snow, but it was fun reading about his origin story and how he turned out to be the person he was in the original trilogy. At first, I thought Coriolanus Snow was just a normal teenager who was a little overwhelmed by his situation, but as the book progresses, it becomes clear that he is just playing a role.

Das Beste sind die Augen

Das Buch haut richtig rein. Was anfangs wie eine normale Geschichte klingt, driftet schnell ins Surreale ab. Als ein neuer Mann in das Leben von Ji-wons Mutter tritt, tritt zugleich das Chaos in Ji-wons Leben. Sie entwickelt eine merkwürdige Vorliebe für blaue Augen und beginnt sich ziemlich merkwürdig zu verhalten. Obwohl im Buch der Horroraspekt im Vordergrund steht, spricht die Autorin auch viele gesellschaftliche Themen an. Zwischenzeitlich habe ich sogar mit Ji-won mitgefiebert, auch wenn ihre Taten moralisch sehr bedenklich sind. Ein Buch, das nicht gefallen will und auch nicht muss. Es bleibt im Kopf und im Bauch.
