    No Longer Human

I heard from this book all about social media; it was described as very depressing, and I wanted to look into it, not aware Dazai would turn into my favourite author ever. Yes, this book is depressing; it's not a fun story, it's an autobiography. He describes his own depressing life. You follow him from his childhood to his adulthood in Japan a long time ago. He had his struggles and by all means was not really a good man. But at some points it hit me very deep, and at some points I felt really understood. Not a good thing in this case. Read it! It's worth it, but be prepared to feel very sad and dull after you finish it.

Madly, Deeply: The Alan Rickman Diaries

As someone who fell in love with Alan Rickman in his role as Snape and then hyperfixated on everything he did, this book was perfect; everything about it was perfect. It's not only his diary entries; it feels alive, like a tiny part of his soul was used to write every letter. It contains pictures of his actual diaries, his real thoughts and pictures of him in most of the roles he describes in his diaries. It's nicely made, and I had a lot of fun annotating it. It held me up at night, and I never wanted it to end, and when it did, I wanted to read it again and again. It contained a lot of lines where I had to laugh and where I felt seen in his words. He will always have a special place in my heart, just like this book has now too.

When I saw that this book would be released, I was beyond excited. I remember watching the Tinkerbell movie over and over again just to see Clarion and Milori together. I was worried, though, that the book would not match the happy love fairytale I had in my head, but it was perfect; the author did such a good job. I could not put the book down. It follows the story of the young queen Milori; she's a queen in training and dreams of the winter mountains she sees from her window and wonders what it's like there. She sneaks out once in a while and visits the border between summer and winter; once she sees a shadow, a winter fairy. She sneaks out more often and meets that winter fairy who seems to be the lord of winter, Milori. They become friends and try to solve a mystery and awaken Clarion's magic powers. Until something more dangerous threatens Pixie Hollow, and they try to save everyone no matter what. I loved the pacing of the book, how real the characters felt and how nicely it fits into the timeline. It will have a special place in my heart forever, and my inner child will keep it like a treasure!

Mein absolutes Jahres-Highlight! Und eine große Inspiration für mich selbst.

It was the first book I read from the Alice Oseman books after I fell in love with Heartstopper. And I have to say I consumed it like it was a meal. I could not put it down and read nearly all of it in a free school period. I cried at the end, and mostly because I have never felt so seen in a character like Tori Spring; it felt like me in another universe. You follow Tori through her boring normal life until she meets a guy at her school who is new and is normally not the kind of person she enjoys being with, but she feels fascinated by his lifestyle, but she goes through her own struggles as well. If I had to recommend only one book from Alice Oseman, it would be this one.
