The Night Circus

After I loved "The Starless Sea" when I read it last year, I couldn't wait to read Erin Morgensterns other book and boy did it not disappoint. "The Night Circus" definetly is a new favorite and already a yearly highlight. The more I read, the more I got sucked into the world and at one poinbt I simply couldn't stop. The prose is beautiful and the circus setting just made this book all the more enchanting. Definetly not for people who like linear plotlines and deep character studies as this book has no story-line and barely any characters, even though the persepective changes every chapter. This books is just vibes, but the vibes are immaculate. So I highly recommend checking Erin Morgensterns books out if you wanna get transported into other worlds and experience true magic!

This Book is so well written that the Book itself, feels magical. The setting, the story, the writing style, everything fitted so perfectly. If I had one free wish, it would be to visit the night circus just for one night. I loved the magical atmosphere that was created and I wish I could read this Story again for the first time.

Magic, romance and a deadly contest: this book is one of the most imaginative slow burns I have ever read. Both the narrative and the setting are incredible and the atmosphere is indescribable.

The story is beautifully described, quite magical and very descriptive. At the beginning it took a long time to get into it and to fully understand what was going on. But it all made perect sense in the end. I loved the atmosphere of the circus.

It's been over five years since I last read this book, and yet still, as I breeze through the pages of this magical story, I feel almost like I've returned home. I have often described this book as more of a mood than a story and I stand by that description. One tends to lose oneself in the circus, the black and white surroundings affording more colour to the story than one would consider possible. Marco, Celia, Poppet, Widget and Tsukiko will always have a special place in my heart.
