Meine letzte Rezension The Seven Year Slip von Ashley Poston
Clementine West is a twenty something woman who tries to manage her life in book publishing while living in New York City. After her rent got raised she moves into the apartment she inherited from her late aunt. Growing up her aunt always told her stories about her magical apartment, but she never quite believed them. But now that she lives there alone she starts to notice weird things, soon enough she finds herself 7 years back in time and stumbles upon a handsome young man. While being stuck in the past she gets to know the handsome stranger Iwan, they get along well, and soon Clementine starts to worry wether she is able to find her handsome stranger in the present. In "the seven year slip" Ashley Poston combines a bittersweet romance with magical realism. The main characters Clementine and Iwan are beautifully written, despite the regular leaps in time you really get to know the characters and start rooting for them. Ashley integrates important human experiences and problems into a witty love story which feels more like literary fiction. I highly recommend this book for every romance lover and to anyone who likes to read about authentic human experiences and the range of emotions a human can feel.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

Forced into marriage Addie flees her tiny home town in 18th century France. Immortal and determined to be independent she begins a journey through centuries across the world. Addie experiences highs and lows and falls in love with living life again, simultaneously she has to learn to live with the pact she made with the devil. For someone damned to be forgotten, Addie LaRue is the most wholesome, independent and lovable character you will find between the pages of books. "The invisible life of Addie LaRue" is one of my all time favorite books. I love how Addie's journey is written and how she deals with whatever life throws her way. I highly recommend. <3

    Happy Place

Wyn and Harriet always have been the perfect couple except they split up and pretend to still be together while being on vacation with their friends. A wholesome story about love, friendship and managing your 20s. My favorite Emily Henry book. Big recommendation.

    Imogen, Obviously

Imogen was always convinced that she was hetero, she never was obsessed with a girl and she certainly is not on the same queer level as her friend Gretchen who’s whole personality is about being bisexual. That is until Imogen visits her best friend Lily in College, who is one year older than her, there Imogen meets Lily's queer friends. Imogen really likes this one girl Tessa who also thinks Imogen is queer since Lily was insecure about being a "baby gay" and lied to everyone that Imogen is her ex. Imogen begins to really like Tessa and they text constantly. Since Imogen feels really close and connected to Tessa and they test 24/7 Imogen isn’t sure anymore if her feelings for Tessa are simply platonic or if she is interested on a romantic level. The reader follows Imogen on her thought process, experiences and feelings about realizing being queer. It’s lovely to see how Imogen falls for Tessa and her whole world suddenly changes, Unfortunately her experiences and the reactions of the people around her aren’t exclusively positiv and she has to ask herself who her real friends are and how much she has pretended to be someone else in the past just to fit in and please the people that are important to her. I obviously loved Imogen obviously, ;) it’s such a cute and wholesome love story which covers really important topics. I could relate to this story on so many levels and it made me quite emotional to see how Imogen struggled to comprehend her feelings. I would absolutely recommend this book, it’s perfect for everyone who likes YA romance novels, the books includes so many feelings, topics and experiences, I really think anyone finds something in this book to relate to. Huge recommendation. #queer #wlw #romance #fake dating #friends to lovers
