A terrible morning for Arthur Dent promises to get much worse when his friend, Ford Prefect, shows up out of the blue and tells him that the earth is about to be destroyed. Saved against his will, Arthur then finds himself on an incredible hitchhiking adventure through space. With the help of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, a useful space-travel guidebook, the duo make their way through space. Adams crafts a funny, out-of-the-box world with lots of wits. The story is extremely creative and a very fun read, although it can get a little convoluted at times with all the space talk. The series of books continues to be engaging up to the very end.
