The New Bath Guide is a collection of humorous and satirical poems written by Christopher Anstey in 1772. The book is presented as a series of letters written by various members of the fictional B-R-D family, who are visiting the spa town of Bath for their health. Through their letters, the family members describe their experiences at the resort, including the social scene, the various treatments they receive, and the eccentric characters they encounter. The poems are written in a lively and entertaining style, with a mix of wit, irony, and parody. The New Bath Guide was a popular work in its time, and has been praised for its vivid depiction of life in eighteenth-century England. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
