Lacks expected depth of analysis

Bewertung am 13.01.2023

Bewertet: eBook (ePUB)

I have come to expect a certain level of data and thorough, insightful analysis by books in this genre. These are pointedly lacking in Sapiens, and it is difficult to decipher if this book is truly based on research or if this is simply a largely fabricated narrative that the author wants to project on his readers. The works of authors like Jared Diamond and Niall Ferguson are far more impressive in my experience.

Never felt more connected to a book or the authors view. An incredible masterpiece and must-have for everybody who is even slightly interested in our human race or better be called the Homo Sapiens itself. I would highly recommend this book to everyone who thinks about our species and wants to know about our previous life on earth. Hararis point of view is very comprehensible, paired with a pinch of sarcasm and cynism, but in the same time he asks important question about our future. We‘ve come a long journey till our ancestors started to follow the road and evolution hits in and now it is in our hands to make well-considered choices and follow the path. You don’t have to concord with the authors point of view, but at least you have to think about his rudiments.
