Agatha Raisin: The Queen of Chaos

Bewertung am 09.03.2025

Bewertungsnummer: 2433163

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

If questionable life choices were a person, it would be Agatha Raisin. Let’s be real—Agatha is a disaster. A loveable, nosy, frequently delusional disaster. And The Dead Husband is proof that her life is basically just one long, ridiculous soap opera with a murder on the side. She’s finally about to get married (again), but—oops!—turns out she was already married the whole time. And how does she find out? Oh, just by having her supposedly dead first husband crash the wedding. Iconic. Absolute trainwreck behavior, and I loved every second of it. Is she a good detective? Debatable. Does she prioritize romance over logic? Constantly. Does she have an absolute talent for getting herself into the most insane, avoidable situations? Oh, 100%. And yet, I can’t stop reading. The small-town charm, the wild twists, the fact that Agatha is her own worst enemy—it’s all hilarious and weirdly addictive. Yes, she’s flawed, yes, she’s sometimes completely unhinged, but that’s exactly what makes this series so fun. If you love cozy mysteries with a side of pure chaos, The Dead Husband (and honestly, this whole series) is a must-read. Just don’t expect Agatha to ever make a sane decision.
