The Testament of Loki

A few thousand years after Ragnarok, the Norse trickster god finds himself sharing a body with a teenage girl. Sounds odd? That's because it is! This second part of the "Loki"-duology by Joanne Harris is vastly different than the first one, featuring a chaotic original story about trust, (self-)love and friendship. Even though the novel is funny and adventurous for the most part, Harris managed to work in very serious subjects expertly. A trigger warning would have been nice, as the story contains heavy references to suicide and self-harm. All in all "The Testament of Loki" is a great and quick read if you need a little shaking up of your reading habits. You can read this story on its own without having to read "The Testament of Loki".
