This substantial collection gathers the complete Land of Oz novels by L. Frank Baum, one of the most beloved series in the history of children's literature. For generations Baum's stories of the magical Land of Oz have captivated readers with their imaginative characters, gentle humour, and spirit of adventure. Beginning with Dorothy and Toto's extraordinary journey in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the series introduces a remarkable world filled with unforgettable companions including the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion, and a host of other curious inhabitants. Across the fourteen books collected in this volume, readers encounter the wider kingdom of Oz in all its variety. Tip and Jack Pumpkinhead flee the wicked witch Mombi in The Marvelous Land of Oz. Princess Ozma restores order to the kingdom in Ozma of Oz. Dorothy and the Wizard travel beneath the earth and into strange lands in Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz. The journey continues through The Road to Oz, The Emerald City of Oz, and the many adventures that follow. These tales introduce beloved figures such as the Shaggy Man, Button-Bright, Tik-Tok, the Patchwork Girl, and Polychrome, while also recounting encounters with formidable enemies including the Nome King. From the rescue missions of Tik-Tok of Oz and Rinkitink in Oz to the quests of The Tin Woodman of Oz and the final adventures of Glinda of Oz, Baum's stories weave a richly imagined fairyland filled with charm, wit, and invention. The Treasury of Oz brings together the full sequence of Baum's Oz novels in a single comprehensive volume, preserving one of the most enduring fantasy worlds ever created.
