This Series Shattered Me
A book series that truly got under my skin. I laughed, I cried and more than once I found myself gasping in shock. With its dystopian setting, superhuman abilities, and emotionally complex characters, Shatter Me is more than just a story – it’s an experience. What stood out most to me were the characters. They’re layered, raw, and incredibly real. You don’t just read about them – you feel with them. If you love dystopias with emotional depth, a touch of romance and amazing characters, this is for you. ✨ One small downside for me? Towards the end, the number of plot twists felt a bit overwhelming, like everything was happening all at once. Still, it didn’t take away from how much I loved the series overall. -

"She's never lived anywhere but in books and memories."
I was really sceptical entering into this series but it swept me off my feet. I will never understand where the magic that authors like Tahereh Mafi bring onto the page comes from. You get different points of view during those books and therefore a deep understanding of the emotions and motivations of the different characters. Though I must say that the story of the last book feels a bit rushed and cramped like every idea that Mafi had left just had to at least been mentioned. But that doesn't make those ideas any less fabulous. There's friendship, love, enemies to lovers, betrayals and a lot of twists I didn't anticipate. All in all I really recommend this series to any and all lovers of dystopian novels!
