    This is a book that displays racism, the way people get excluded and the effects this behavior has on them. The novel's set in a high school, so it's a good book for teaching people, especially younger ones, to treat everyone equally! Different pov's, good chapter length!

    breathtaking, queer and liberating

    when i first came across this book i wasnt sure if i was going to like this. looking back i dont know what exactly gave me that feeling, because it was absolutely spectacular. its no big romance, but this book didnt need a big romance. it was queer, incredibly uncomfortable and at the sams time it felt so right to inhale this story. i read this book in just 2 days, which is kind of a long time for me to read a book, because i had to put it aside several times just to realize what had happened. please, all of u that like queer, shocking, mystery books: read this.

    A fast paced dark thriller thar...

    A fast paced dark thriller thar deals with racism mobbing and an elite school with problematic people. Remember here you really can´t trust no one. I like how the author builds her suspense and tackles these themes.

    dark academia and dark skinned ppl

    A lot happens, it gets violent and it gets dramatic: Dark academia at its best! LGBTQ+ represetation very accurate, pleasant if a bit cliche. Racism, youthful sins and bad pasts are threaded here in language that is not too simple. The writing and the drama were pleasantly exciting and understandable. Unfortunately, I smelled part of the resolution right at the beginning, but that didn't lessen the fun of reading.

    Scary. I felt so uncomfortable and helpless reading this. At first, it was rather slow, and the dialog was a tad too cringy for me sometimes (-0.5). But halfway in, I couldn't stop reading, and I felt everything that happened to the characters to my very bone. It was kind of predictable with the News firm but besides from that I was SOO curious about "Aces". When it was revealed, I was overwhelmed and utterly shocked. I thought it'd be just a small group with racist intentions but that?? No, never imagined that. Even though every single character except the two MCs felt sus. A must-read!
