Behind every name lies a story of faith, service, and quiet courage. Quiet lives, lasting spiritual witness. The Annual Monitor for 1913 gathers the obituary records of members of the Society of Friends in Great Britain and Ireland who died between October 1911 and September 1912, forming a distinctive Quaker obituary collection and religious biography anthology. In plain yet deeply humane language, these Society of Friends memorials and Quaker death notices sketch the lives of women and men from many walks of life, offering concise British Quaker biographies rooted in everyday discipleship rather than public renown. Names, relationships and dates accumulate into a historical reference volume that illuminates early 20th century Britain through the distinctive lens of Society of Friends history and British religious history. Genealogists and those engaged in Quaker family history research will value its careful record of individuals and families, while general readers encounter a panorama of faith lived out in ordinary circumstances. Out of print for decades and now republished by Alpha Editions, The Annual Monitor for 1913 is restored for today's and future generations. Prepared from the original text with respect for its period character, it serves as a dependable genealogy research resource as well as a window onto the spiritual landscape of Great Britain and Ireland in the years just before the First World War. More than a reprint - a collector's item and a cultural treasure for Quaker libraries, local history collections and all who cherish the documentary traces of past lives.
