Interesting setting and story development

I really like the story idea and the world in which the story is set. However, the pacing was too fast for my liking and sometimes things happened one after another without enough explanation. Also the characters were kind of shallow and their behaviour did not make much sense at times. But over all an interesting read.

Beautiful inside and out!

The story literally matches the beautiful cover. Heavy on court politics and strategical talk, the books pace feels a bit slower than most of it's kind but the moderate pacing perfectly fits the vibe of the story. The plot features a variety of interesting twists and was suprisingly complex and deep at times. Descendant of the Crane was a really good mixture of politicla drama and mytholgical fanatsy. Can only recommend.
