The prevailing and future global economic scenario puts forward the importance of conservation of materials. The behavior of materials at elevated temperature is gaining technological importance. It is a problem that mankind has to face and solve it from the very beginning of his existence. Understanding the behavior of metals at elevated temperature and especially their corrosion behavior became an object of scientific investigation since long.
