One of my favourite books of the last years
A story about migration and belonging, about how trauma and the family as a construct. What even is a family if both parents are dead? This is the central question the main characters see themselves confronted with after both their parents have died during their escape from war torn Vietnam. A very moving story with deep insights into the inner life of its characters.
