    What ever you do, read this book!

    Bride by Ali Hazelwood is an absolute masterpiece. This book felt like a warm hug — comforting, funny, emotional, and beautifully written. It was my first English read as a non-native speaker, and I can honestly say it was completely worth it. The language is easy to follow, and Ali Hazelwood’s humor shines in a way that simply can’t be matched in translation. Misery is such an incredible character — strong, complex, and deeply relatable. And Lowe… he’s just hot in every possible way. No words needed. Their chemistry and dynamic made this story even more addictive. I went in with high expectations, but Bride surpassed every single one of them. The characters, the world, the emotions — everything about it just clicked perfectly. It’s one of those rare books that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading.

    Top 3 Ali Hazelwood Bücher

    Ich habe mich richtig gescheut dieses Buch zu lesen, weil es nach dem Release ja eine sehr gemischte Flut an Meinungen zu diesem Buch gab. Jetzt habe ich mich endlich getraut und wünschte ich hätte das Buch früher gelesen! Ich verstehe wieso dieses Buch bei Ali Hazelwood Fans die sonst gar nicht in dem Paranormal/ Fantasy Setting drin sind gewöhnungsbedürftig ist, ich habe es aber absolut geliebt. Misery und Lowe waren für sich tolle Charaktere zwischen denen man die Tension von der ersten Begegnung an spüren kann. Trotz dass er der „Alpha“ ist, ist Lowe respektvoll und würdigt Misery wie niemand zuvor es in ihrem Leben getan hat, obwohl diese auch für sich selbst einstehen kann und tut. Trotzdem fiebert man auch für die Liebe der beiden mit! Mir hat der Aufbau der Welt sehr gut gefallen und auch der Mystery Handlungsstrang hat nochmal viel Spannung aufgebaut und für ein starkes Finale gesorgt, was sich auch nicht überspitzt angefühlt hat. Nach dem Epilog bin ich auf jeden Fall sehr gespannt auf Band 2

    This one is for the slightly weird girlies. I see you Ali Hazelwood... Published omegaverse, I did not think this day would come, but here we are. And I adore everything about it. This has forbidden love and arranged marriage and such good humour. Misery (and yes, that is indeed her name) is a Vampyre and she is indeed in misery. She has been chosen to uphold the alliance between Werewolves and Vampyres by being part of an exchange aka an arranged marriage between her and the Werewolves' alpha Lowe. Lowe deeply mistrusts her from the beginning because she is a Vampyre. But what he does't know is that Misery has her own reason for agreeing to this exchange. And while Misery discovers the Werewolves are not really what she thought they were, she seems to find that there is also something bigger at stake; her heart.

    Bright war mein erstes Ali Hazelwood Buch ich konnte es einfach nicht aus der Hand legen, und man hat einfach mit der Person mitgefühlt. Man konnte in eine andere Welt eintauchen mit Vampiren und wer Wölfen. Es war spannend mit Romanze und eine richtig krasse Plot twist.

    Loved it

    It was emotional but fun at the same time. Ali Hazelwood isn’t really my type of author but this book really checked all the boxes for me. Will definitely reread and praying for a sequel!

    ‍Vampire meets Werewolf

    This was my very first Ali Hazelwood book, and it did not disappoint. In fact: after reading this book, I read many more of her books and soon became a Hazelwood book lover. 'Bride' offers an interesting & new storyline; it combines enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, arranged marriage, forced proximity & found family; the characters are smart and extremely funny; there's tons of witty comments and, in general, a great sense of humour throughout the book; there's (a little) spice, too; and it is beautifully written. I highly recommend to read it. As a side note: the spicy scenes included some weird elements that are best to be ignored. A lot of people gave the book less credit because of that, but it shouldn't diminish the experience, especially because it took up only a very small part of the book, and it actually did fit the storyline.

    Slow burn igniting into a hot flame

    I loved everything about this book, the storytelling, the worldbuilding and the chemistry between Misery and Lowe which was undeniable from the beginning. It was so hard for me to put this book away, finding out if and how their relationship develops was just too intriguing. "Bride" was the first book I've read by Hazelwood, and as a huge fan of fantasy it definitely did not disappoint.

    Who knew arranged marriages between enemy species could be... wholesome?

    Usually, I’m not the biggest romance reader... however, I was in the mood for some werewolf Romantasy and what better book to grab for that than “Bride” by Ali Hazelwood? And it was surprisingly great. The tension between Misery and Lowe was amazing from the very start. Even though it took some time until I got used to the word “Vampyre”, I loved the kind of cliche descriptions of the species and the way “Bride” broke many of well-known tropes in unexpected ways. The romance was cute and not at all as toxic as the book’s premise makes it seem. Also, I totally adored the wholesome relationship Misery develops with Lowe’s little sister and the story’s small investigational aspect. I was glued to the pages and it was a constant struggle to put the book down. I’m definitely an Ali Hazelwood fan now and excited to read the rest of her backlist!

    Ali Hazelwood - Bride

    Wieder mal einfach toll. Ali Hazelwood beweist mit diesem Buch, dass sie auch in der Fantasy unterwegs sein kann. Misery und Lowe muss man einfach gern haben, die Geschichte ist spannend und unterhaltsam geschrieben. Alles in allem eine große Leseempfehlung. // Once again simply great. Ali Hazelwood proves with this book that she can also do fantasy. You simply have to like Misery and Lowe, the story is thrilling and entertainingly written. All in all, a must-read for werewolf-, vampire- and AliVerse-Fans.

    First Fantasy attempt did not disappoint

    I loved this book! Though Misery is an odd choice for a name (especially since her twin is simply "Owen") but her character is deep, well rounded and in typical Hazelwood fashion hilarious. The relationship is romantic before it gets spicy and the fantasy realm is well build. Surely she is not creating anything new and the comparion to Twilight is there, but that doesn't do it any harm or takes away from the joy of reading. All in all so far my favorite Hazelwood book
