The Bonus

The Bonus by TL Swan was one of my most anticipated releases this year and as soon as the release day came, I immediately went into this book and Gracie and Gabriel‘s story was just amazing.   Gracie is the assistant of Gabriel Ferrara, and she is crushing on her boss, but he doesn’t seem to feel the same. And at some point, Gracie has enough, and she rather goes a different path. Gracie is such a strong and all or nothing person and I totally admired her. Her last day of work provides her with an unexpected bonus, and I totally didn’t see this coming, but I loved it and how that’s reflected in the title.   Gabriel is a super successful businessman and everything in his life centers around his work. When he’s still Gracie‘s boss he sometimes acts in a horrible manner and that makes him almost unlikeable. But this story turns into so much more and Gabriel is thrown out of his comfort zone. I absolutely loved his development and trust me you don’t want to miss out on daddy Gabriel.   From the beginning Gracie and Gabriel have such a delicious tension in the office and at first, I thought it was just an office romance, which I would have loved, but I didn’t see it coming how the story progressed. One of my favorite tropes is found family and the way that this was done in this book was just amazing and heartfelt. I loved seeing how Gracie and Gabriel got a second chance and how they slowly became the most precious little family.   TL Swan has done it again and she gave us another fabulous story and one of my most anticipated releases turned into a new favorite book. 4,5 stars.
