Super süße Sport Romance!

Dieses Buch hat wirklich Spaß gemacht zu lesen. Was tut man, wenn der eigene Zwillingsbruder kein Interesse an einem zeigt? Richtig. Man Fake-datet dessen größten Rivale. Ich habe die Story zwischen Athalia und Dylan einfach nur geliebt. Von Anfang an merkt man bereits, dass Dylan mit diesem Fake-Dating seinen ganz eigenen Zielen näher kommt. Eine wandelnde green Flag bei der man einfach nur dahinschmilzt. Das es hier nicht nur um die Romanze zwischen den Hauptcharakteren geht, sondern auch um die zerbrochene Beziehung zwischen Athalia und ihrem Zwillingsbruder Henry ist das Buch voller Emotionen. Zu lesen, wie es Athalia mit ihrem Leben geht war eine wirklich emotionale kleine Reise und hat unglaublich viel Spaß gemacht. Kann Band 2 kaum erwarten!

OMG, everyone! I just discovered one of my newest favorite sports romance books! Athalia and Dylan can't stand each other – just like Dylan and Henry, Athalia's twin brother. Since the death of their parents, Henry and Athalia have hardly cared for each other, but to get his attention, she proposes a fake relationship to Dylan. To get back at Henry, Dylan agrees – but not without drafting a contract! The focus is on their fake dating, while soccer takes a backseat – which I totally don't mind! ⚽️✨ Since we only get to read Athalia's POV, we have very little insight into the soccer world. So, it's not the typical sports romance I usually read. I really liked Athalia and Dylan, but I have to say that their characters felt a bit superficial. For instance, we don't learn about their hobbies or the dreams and goals they pursue. Maybe the focus is more on their relationship than on their individual development. Dylan is definitely a walking "green flag" – I just loved him! What starts with playful teasing quickly evolves into the sweetest love story ever. It becomes clear pretty fast that this is not fake at all! And the BEST part? There's no drama! It's consistently sweet and made me giggle so many times! ❤️ Conclusion: The book was good, but the characters could have been a bit more fleshed out. I would have loved to learn more about Dylan. Still, I really enjoyed the book and definitely recommend it!

Nette Sports Romance

Das Buch war wirklich süß geschrieben. Beide Protagonisten waren liebenswürdig und keiner übermäßig anstrengend, was oft bei Sports Romance der Fall ist. Die ganze Thematik mit Athalia's Bruder fand ich ein wenig wirr und seltsam aber sonst hat es mir durchaus gefallen.

A cute Fake-Dating Story

After her parent's death Athalia Pressley's biggest wish is to have a closer relationship to her twin brother Henry again. Henry is playing in the Hall Beck University's football (soccer) team together with his arch enemy Dylan McCarthy Williams, who has to tutor Athalia in statistics. At first Athalia is not happy about the whole situation but soon she realizes that because Dylan is her tutor she is getting more attention from her brother. Athalia and Dylan then make a fake-dating-pact so Athalia can furthermore attract her brothers attention. Although I'm absolutely not interested in football/soccer, this book made its way into my shopping cart because of the beautiful cover. Well anyone who is expecting a big football sports romance is going to be disappointed because football (soccer) is not really the focus. That was great for me personally but for someone who bought this book because of the soccer theme it is the wrong book. Also do not expect big character development because the protagonists were mostly flat. Although this might sound very bad to this point I really enjoyed reading this book. It's a fast paced, easy to read and not too demanding book so it's perfect for a relaxed read. I especially enjoyed the simplicity of the story and that the book does not focus on unnecessary drama. Athalia and Dylans dynamic is on point and I really liked most of the characters. The banter between the two was very sweet and often made me smile. I personally really like the fake dating trope and enjoyed how the fake feelings slowly turned into real feelings. I actually would have really loved a dual-POV to see what Dylan was thinking and feeling in some situations. The ending scene was a bit too much for me and could have been left out but all in all a very cute and uplifting love story you shouldn't expect to be too deep.
