Bridesmaid Undercover An incredibly steamy, hilarious, friends to lovers, love triangle romantic comedy

Die junge Everly liebt ihren Job Maggie, da sie gerne Events plant und Menschen unterstützt. Und so kommt es, dass sie bei der Hochzeit von Poppy und Ken die Brautjungfer Maple unterstützt. Der Trauzeuge ist niemand anderes als Hardy Hopper, für den Everly schon länger schwärmt und als er mit einer ungewöhnlichen Bitte auf sie zukommt, sagt sie aus Versehen zu. Und so kommt es, dass sie Hardy hilft, Maple zurückzugewinnen. Wir folgen beiden abwechselnd. Hardy möchte auch eine Beziehung und Liebe in seinem Leben haben und möchte daher seine Ex zurück. Everly ist zwar verknallt in Hardy, ist aber ein zu guter Mensch, um ihm nicht zu helfen, eine andere Frau für sich zu gewinnen. Und so finden wir uns in einer RomCom wieder, bei der die Protagonistin für ihre 22 Jahre sehr klug und emotional gereift ist und der etwa 10Jahre ältere Prota noch etwas unsicher in seiner Gefühlswelt ist. Es ist sehr schön, die aufkommende Freundschaft mitzuerleben und auch wie sich die Dynamik verändert. Außerdem gibt es einige sehr lustige Situationen, die einen mehr als zum Schmunzeln bringen.

Bridesmaid Undercover by Meghan Quinn is the second book in the Bridesmaid For Hire Series. This is Everly and Hardy‘s story.   Everly works for Maggie in the wedding planning business, and she is thriving in her job. Her love life is rather non-existent even though she is longing for romance. I loved seeing her relationship with her sister and she is such a kind and supportive person.   Hardy is the middle child of the Hopper family, and he is expected to do his part in the family business. But his father is such a horrible person and I really liked how he and his brother do their own thing and he works with Almond farmers which is really cool. Hardy is such a sweet soul who just wants his own hea and I loved seeing that.   I already loved these two in Bridesmaid For Hire and I had the best time reading their story. Everly and Hardy have such a great connection and chemistry but there are quite a few things in their way. Hardy doesn’t want to mix business and pleasure but at the same time he is drawn to Everly, and they become friends. Hardy is seeing happy couples all around him and he wants his own romance and tries to win back his ex with the help of Everly and that was just hilarious. These two are such a great team and I loved every page of their story. I absolutely loved the connection to the Cane brother‘s and Almond Bay world.   Overall, Bridesmaid Undercover is a new Meghan Quinn favorite and I just adore this series. 5 stars.   (ARC kindly provided in exchange for a review.)
