Bitter Sweet The breathtaking and searingly beautiful must-read book to lose yourself in this summer!

Für mich ein sehr intensives aber schönes Buch. Es geht um eine Beziehung zwei Charaktere mit größerem Altersunterschied und Machtgefälle. Die Beziehung ist toxisch aber sehr realistisch beschrieben mit echten Gefühlen. Ich kann es sehr empfehlen.

Sadly this book deals with very difficult und important subjects in a very simplistic manner. A lot of the things that happen are not coherent or explained well, the side characters are no characters at all but just perfect caricatures, out of nowhere there is a happy end and despite making horrible decisions the whole time in the end everything turns out perfectly. Plus if you want to center the plot around her falling in love with an old man it should be somehow made believable and it was not in the slightest. Also a very big critic point is that if you write about mental health you should do your research well. Because this author clearly doesn’t know herself (which is fine of course) but it affects many people and it is such a hurtful misrepresentation. It is not common to get the perfect treatment, kind and supportive doctors und to heal almost immediately. So all in all please pick a different book, there are so many amazing ones out there and this was not one of them!
