Ali Smith is my all time favourite author, and with "GLIFF", she introduces us to the first of two novels, which belong together, but can be read independently. (yippie) She gives us the eyes of a teenage girl, so we can take a look at the world through more childlike eyes. But not only does Ali Smith give heavy and burdensome topics, which she brutally faces us with, lightness. She also fable-ises her story's. So true, realistic questions take a turn and become a tiny bit more like magic. If you love authors like Sally Rooney or Ottessa Moshfegh - this one's for you :)
