The last book of the Legacy of Gods series. Words cannot describe how excited I was to read the story of Eli and Ava. In the Royal Elite epilogue, we already got a glimpse of little Eli and Ava, and they were so cute! In the other books, there were only a few short mentions about Eli and Ava, which just made me more curious. The book starts with Ava, who is in the club, partying with friends. Despite being drunk, she decides to drive home. As she drives through the night, she notices a car following her. Driven by panic, she tries to out-speed the car and ends up crashing. The next time she opens her eyes, she wakes up in a hospital, only to find out that two years have passed, and that she is now married to Eli King — which she doesn’t remember happening. I was just as shocked as Ava when I read this. Since she lost her memories, she can't remember anything, especially not that she had agreed to marry him. Despite their supposed marriage, Eli acts rather cold and distant towards her. At the beginning, I wasn't sure if I would end up liking Eli or not. But as I read on, he started to get closer to her and started acting with more affection. The way their relationship grows during the book is so good! Their story is surprisingly sad, though. Once I got to know the reason behind Eli’s cold and distant behavior towards Ava, it broke me. Seriously. Not only did I not see it coming, but it was also the most heartbreaking reason ever! There were definitely a few tears involved! To come to an end: If you're looking for a dark romance that is a rollercoaster of emotions, you should not miss out on this book! •Enemies to lovers•push and pull•amnesia•marmarriage of convenience•

I actually didn`t make it that far reading this book before I just stopped reading it. As soon as Ava started behaving like a stubborn little girl and Eli was just an ignorant, unsympathetic and rude human being, I was out. Their relationship was no relationship at all. All there was, was childlike behavior. It was highly annoying and useless. This was the second and last book with the “Fake Marriage” trope I read because the story and especially the parts I didn't like were too similar. The Legacy of Gods series sadly ended with a bummer.
