Boy From the Valleys My unexpected journey

I can hardly put into words how much this book meant to me on a personal level. I have started rereading it as soon as I finished it. Reading it for the first time was a treat but reading it a second time was a meal. I'll leave it at that regarding the topic of how much I liked it. On a more objective note: Luke Evans is an excellent writer and his story is both fantastic and inspiring. Plus, he has a very engaging way to tell it. He keeps his readers hooked better than some novel writers do. The way he speaks of people he encountered or knows is respectful at all times, which, given the fact a lot of those people treated him badly, I find admirable. Rather than hold a grudge, he gives context and empathy. All in all Luke Evans tells his readers of an amazing journey, of an extraordinary life and does so in a both entertaining and encouraging way. It is a book I didn't know I needed.
