Tears of the Wolf

I went into this book thinking "A romance Novel, written by a youtuber? This must suck big time!". I was so ready for a hate-read... But boy was I wrong. Brynn and Cenric are both great characters on their own. They both have goals and thoughts that doesn't involve the other, so they felt like real, actual people. Brynn's pain about losing her child wasn't a one time mention, never to be brought up again, but something that accompanied her throughout the whole book. And it didn't even annoy me. I never, ever want to have children, I can't think of anything worse than motherhood - but not once did I think Brynn is annoying in her pain. I understood her mourning for her son. As a romance novel, this book had very little actual plot, but what existed was well written. I can't say anything specific because more than half a sentence would spoil the whole thing, but it was good. The focus was the love story, after all, not politics (though those exist!). This was a great book to read, well written and simply fun. I'm not much of a fan of romance novels but I still liked it!
