The one that got away... but did they?
This was a fun suspense filled romance. I loved that Billy and Ben both had secrets to say or well not. Both being stupid teenagers is also something everyone can relate to, and they worked it out… mostly The pacing was fast, which i like in spy movies, and with enough humor that i had a great time. IF and i mean i did you ignore the whole thing with Cybil’s mom. Which personally gave me an ick. So her mom is sick, with adhd (which uff, but hey just because my neurodivergency works differently i shouldn’t judge) i get that. But HOW come that nobody checked into them after her dads death? Starving, always moving, super in debt ?! They describe her time with her cousins family as her summer highlight and she felt so loved by them, so why please why did no-one thought to put that child out of her misery at her moms? Sorry not understandable in my brain. If that part wouldnt have been it would’ve been a fantastic book. But with this I rate it a 3.5
