Finding Atlantis

Bewertet: eBook (ePUB 3)

Max Hunter is not only a famous archaeologist working for UNESCO, no he is also an ex-soldier. When he finds a mysterious artefact in a tomb beneath the Gates of Nineveh he can´t believe his lucky. Seems like his believe that Atlantis is real is correct and he can find out where to look for it. The only downfall to this is his biggest enemy is also looking for the way to Atlantis and soon Max finds out there is much more going on than it seems like. Also a Swiss foundation, the FBI and a secret society are all interested in the same. So a deathly fight starts in finding the way to Atlantis. Who will win this hunt? The story sounded really interesting and sounded like a great adventure. I started really good into the story but somehow the writing and the story couldn´t convince me completely. There is lots of action, much fighting and some killing and also lots of different places the stories takes place. That our main character Max is not only an archaeologist but also an ex-solder makes really sense. Also some of the team members of the FBI are ex-military which makes really sense considering all the fighting, the enemies with high numbers. What I didn´t like in this story was that they have so many attacks but all is fine for them, other ones helping them are not so lucky and we have some killings in the story. Neither to Max or any other team member did I really get a connection. They remain for me somehow flat. They tell each other personal things but for me they did not really connect like a team. I can´t describe better why they couldn´t convince me as characters but for me a spark was missing to really draw me into the plot, excite me and made me really empathize with the characters. So I finished the book to read the mystery about Atlantis but the story couldn´t entertain me completely.
