Portrait

Dr. Ramesh Kumar Ahirwar, a trained ethnobotanist, holds a PhD from Awadhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University), Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India, since December 2019. Dr. Ahirwar has over 12 years of extensive experience in ethnobotany, both as a researcher and faculty member, and he has authored more than 64 research papers, many of which have been published in prestigious Elsevier journals such as the Journal of Ethnopharmacology, South African Journal of Botany, and Advances in Traditional Medicine. Additionally, he has contributed four book chapters to edited volumes in reputable publications and authored three books on various aspects of ethnobotany. He has been awarded many projects by various funding agencies. He serves as a reviewer for various journals published by Elsevier and Springer Nature.

Dr. Chandan Singh is an Assistant Professor at Banaras Hindu University, India, and a leading expert in Biological NMR Spectroscopy and Metabolomics, with a focus on membrane proteins. He has published 31 research articles and participated in postdoctoral assignments at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute and MIT. Dr. Singh is a life member of the National Magnetic Resonance Society at the NMR Research Centre, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India.

Dr. Anil Bhatia is an accomplished researcher with a deep technical and analytical knowledge base in metabolomics, particularly in the realm of small molecule analysis and lipidomics. Currently serving as a Specialist III at the Metabolomics Core Facility, Institute for Integrative Genome Biology at the University of California, Riverside, Dr. Bhatia brings extensive expertise in developing and optimizing advanced methodologies for metabolomic studies. His work involves the use of sophisticated analytical platforms such as liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. He is adept at handling complex instrumentation, including time-of-flight (TOF) and triple quadrupole mass spectrometers, as well as ion mobility spectrometry systems, which are crucial for both targeted and untargeted metabolomics.

Dr. Deepanker Yadav is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, India. He has more than ten years of experience in Plant Molecular Biology research. He received his master’s degree from Banaras Hindu University and completed his PhD from the University of Hyderabad, India. He was also a visiting scholar at the University of Muenster Germany during his doctorate tenure. He conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of plant science at Volcani centre, Agricultural Research Organization, Israel. He has been awarded various fellowships and grants. He has published several research papers and is a reviewer of several international journals.

Dr. Akhileshwar Kumar Srivastava works as a Research Associate (ICMR) at CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore, India. In his 11 years of research, he has published more than 18 research articles in reputed international journals, along with 4 books and 11 book chapters. His research specialization is primarily in the area of pharmacognosy with genetics, metabolomics, bioinformatics, and molecular biology associated with targeting virulent factors of diseases. In addition, he has studied at Augusta University (formerly, Georgia Regents University) in Augusta, GA, USA, on a J-1 Exchange Scholar Visa and at Ben-Gurion University, Israel. He is also a life member fellow in the Indian Science Congress and the Agriculture, Nutrition and Health Academy, UK.
