Second installments are always tricky…
…but this one was just as good as the first volume. At times the plot is even darker, and our detective duo Ana and Din face a murderer who always seems to be two steps ahead. Bennetts biopunk series is really good: it‘s smart, intriguing and once you’ve dived into the story, it’s very gard to put down. -

return to the empire
Not as good as the first book, but still a very good sequel in my opinion. We return to the empire, this time in a different canton. I really enjoyed that as we got to know a completely different region and the people who live there. It was also nice to have Din and Ana together again, with all their (messy) brilliance. Overall, another gripping murder mystery full of unexpected revelations.
