I really like that poetry book because I love poetry generally. The texts are awesome and powerful. I would definitely recommend this book, to anyone who loves poetry as much as I do!

I've always been a fan of poetry. But I am very critical when reading poems. Most of the time I either don't feel like I don't understand what the poet is trying to tell me or I've read a similar version before or simply I just don't like it. So some people might understand why I'm always hesitant when it comes to spending money on poetry because what if I don't like it? The princess saves herself in this one is worth every penny. It's a collection of poems that tell the story of Amanda Todd, her struggles, her wars, her relationships. She talks about abusive relationships in a very honest way which not many people do. Let me warn you now though. These poems aren't all fluffy and happy. When I read one poem in particular I was in a train and had to close the book to keep myself from crying. First of all, because I realized that I could relate to her despair and secondly because I had to realize what I had just read. But I continued reading since on page two it said "happy ending ahead" and I desperately wanted to read about that happiness. The book is divided into four parts. Each addresses a different person. Not only herself and her family but also the readers. The new generation of young girls who'll struggle, too. I truly deeply loved this book. I cried and if I'm quite honest I'm crying while typing this but it is an important piece of literature for everyone out there. It points out flaws in ourselves, our loved ones and our society. It reminds us that whatever happens, there will be a happy end some day. That dragons can and will be slain. That the princess and the shining knight in bright armour can be both one and the same. That not all that glitters is gold. Share this story with your daughters. Even if you think that they won't understand anything that's written in it I can assure you that they will. And they won't regret reading it.
