He Who Fights With Monsters: Hero

Unbelievable that this is Travis Deverell aka Shirtaloons first released series. Sure, sometimes it's obvious but overall, this is amazingly well written and just gets better (I've read the the first twelve, twice so far). If you enjoy good world building, an interesting magic system, lovable, evolving and well written characters, an MC that grows as a person and not just his powers*, think neckbeard harem fantasies are unnecessary and are okay with queer and bipoc representation (it really feels natural) ... you will enjoy this series. And yes, there are a few Discworld easter eggs and some from other LitRPG series. *It's his thing
