A fabulously cosy sci-fi adventure for fans of Becky Chambers and Martha Wells.
'Absolutely wonderful . . . Filled with fantastic characters and so much heart, this book is a treasure' - Sarah Beth Durst, bestselling author of The Spellshop
Her starship gave her freedom. But could it also become a friend?
Torian thought she was getting a bargain: a century-old alien starship, abandoned and covered in moss. It was her ticket away from a smuggling past and her overbearing ex . . . ah, ex-captain, Amelia. But the moss has a mind of its own.
As the ship's 'organic computer,' Moss is lonely, snarky and harbouring serious abandonment issues. And when Torian journeys onward, she encounters the immortal alien who built the craft, then just left it behind - with Moss inside. The ship he's now accusing Torian of stealing.
Charting a new course across the galaxy, Torian finds an unexpected ally in Amelia, who might help her find the haven she craves. Torian can pilot a starship. But can she uncover ancient secrets and connect with a computer that just wants to belong?
If you love Firefly's adventures in space, the loveable alien cast of Mass Effect and the cosiness of Legends & Lattes, this is for you. And the next cosy instalment is Moss Effect.

Buch (Taschenbuch)
“Torian Razner finally bought a starship, and contrary to Amelia’s assessment, it was not ‘a meteoric sign of stupidity.’”
If you want a cozy and queer Sci-Fi Book this is for you! This book is just hilarious most of the time because of the conversations between Torian an Moss a sentient organic computer and life-support system that covers the interior and exterior of an abandoned alien starship. Also the story has some thirlling moments and is fast paced.
