Meine letzte Rezension Fünf Tage im Licht von Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett
Griechische Sommerhitze, eine heiße Affäre und ein ganz besonderes Gemälde. Dieses Buch schreit einfach nach Sommer und ich konnte beim Lesen das Meer förmlich riechen. Eine tolle Geschichte die sich langsam aber sicher zuspitzt und sich wie ein Sommergewitter entlädt. Ich konnte dieses Buch nicht aus der Hand legen.

Fünf Tage im Licht

Griechische Sommerhitze, eine heiße Affäre und ein ganz besonderes Gemälde. Dieses Buch schreit einfach nach Sommer und ich konnte beim Lesen das Meer förmlich riechen. Eine tolle Geschichte die sich langsam aber sicher zuspitzt und sich wie ein Sommergewitter entlädt. Ich konnte dieses Buch nicht aus der Hand legen.

    This is a highly unique and fascinating book about a young man who does not have the ability to feel emotions. The beautifully written story is devastating and heartbreaking all the same. It has short chapters and a fluent writing style that makes it easy to keep track of the deep and interesting characters. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read something different and wants to feel all the feels.

    Klara and the Sun

    I have to read all the books written by Kazuo Ishiguro, so this one was a must-read and did not disappoint. Klara and the sun is an exhilarating and truly thought-provoking masterpiece. Like in all of his books, Ishiguro manages to portray human life and feelings in a unique and fascinating new light. I don't have enough words to describe how wonderful this beautiful story is. This is a book for all ages and simply brilliant!

    Open Water

    This is a book about what it means to be young, Black and British in today's society. The author uses the second-person narrator, which makes this story so much more powerful. You don't even get to know the protagonist's name but in order to 'see' him, this is irrelevant. One of my absolute favourites, that left me in tears and literally took my breath away.

    Dieses Buch hat mich von der ersten Seite an nicht mehr losgelassen. Takis Würger hat eine beeindruckende Schreibkraft und seine Worte haben mich tief berührt! Ein Buch über die Liebe zur Musik, die oftmals für sich selber spricht, hier aber einen großen Raum bekommt, um sich literarisch zu entfalten. Eine der schönsten Liebesgeschichten, die ich seit langem gelesen habe!

    Delicate, heartfelt and beautifully written, Maggie O'Farrell guides you through this tragedy. Absolutely extraordinary! This might be one of my favorite reads of the last couple of years.

    Intermezzo

    In her new fantastic novel, Rooney tells the story of two brothers and their relationship. A story about accepting loss, pain, and heartbreak with all its complexity. Her writing is delicate and almost poetic while also maturing when changing the character's perspective, allowing to deeply feel for them. If you loved 'Normal People', this one's for you. Her most emotional and my personal favorite work of hers so far.

    The Wedding People

    Sometimes, a book comes along that draws you in, keeps you hooked the whole way through, and stays with you long after you close it. And this book truly swept me off my feet. Beautifully written, Alison Espach tells a story about loss, grief, loneliness and marriage. Even though this sounds truly depressing, it is far more than that. It is witty, humorous and, most of all, a life-affirming story about healing and feeling stuck, as well as being ever hopeful for something good. An absolute five-star read and I highly recommend reading this one!

    The Outsiders

    This book definitely deserves more love and attention. This wonderful, heart-wrenching story surprised me in so many ways and I loved every second of it. A very relatable story about true friendship and finding your place in the world.

    Great Big Beautiful Life

    I didn’t know what to expect but this Story moved me so deeply, I physically felt it throughout my whole body. While following Magrets Story and learning about what family, love and truth can mean, I slowly fell in love with Hayden, the same way Alice did. It’s truly mesmerising how Emily Henry can capture these overwhelming feelings and complex question of meaning in life. Definitely my favourite book of hers! The writing is phenomenal and the plot-twists had me gagged! I laughed and cried and I loved every second that I got to spent with Alice, Hayden and Magret!

    One of the most unique books I've ever read. Beautifully written and very calmly, Samantha Harvey invites you into a world beyond the stars and imagination. Definetly one of my highlights this year! Truly mesmerising!
