Meine letzte Rezension We Fell Apart von E. Lockhart

*4,5* What a stunning expansion of the "We Were Liars" - Universe. This beautiful fiction had me in its grib from the start. Wonderfully plotted and filled with the unexpected. And of course full of bittersweet lies. And being lost. And finding a chosen family. And everyday magic. And madness. So, so much beautiful messy madness. Loved it. Spoiler? one of the Lockhart's with a happy end.

Raven Cycle 1. The Raven Boys

Re-read this whole series in preparation of the Dreamer Trilogy (which also did not disappoint in the slightest). I adore atmospheric and character-driven stories, so Maggie Stiefvater books are just the perfect match (any of her book series, really). She creates magical worlds, lovable flawed characters with so many quirks that make you realise how boring it is to be "normal" or "someone else", just be your quirky self. it's so much more fun. The Raven books are pure comfort, friendship, love, rawness and genuinity.

We Were Liars

will never have words for how much i love this story, the construction, the pain, the rawness, "the good, the bad and the ugly" if you will. and the powerful, yet elegant and effortless seeming writing style that feels like poetry to me. this story is one of a kind, definite must-read.

Vielleicht nie (Vielleicht-Trilogie, Band 2)

Wow, zwischen all der Lust und Leidenschaft steckte so. viel. mehr. Ich kann es gar nicht in Worte fassen, wie mich die Geschichte von Joana berührt hat. So mitreißend, relatable, echt. Einfach alles. Mehr kann ich gerade im Moment des Fertiglesens nicht sagen. Einfach nur ein toles Buch in dieser tollen Reihe mit Gefühlen auf allen Ebenen! Absolute Achterbahn.

Larsson Legacy (Crumbling Hearts, Band 3)

Ich werde es immer lieben, wie die früheren Charaktere in den neuen Geschichten weiterleben, und wie zukünftige Charaktere still anfangen, durch die Zeilen zu wandern. Dann noch die ganzen süßen Momente fürs Herz dazwischen, mit all den Facetten der tollen Charaktere, all der Tiefsinnigkeit, all den Höhen und Abgründen. Und ein riesiges Danke, liebe Caro, für die falling-in-love-with-anime-characters-awareness.

Vielleicht irgendwann (Vielleicht-Trilogie, Band 3)

Loved. This. Hach, bei jedem Teil habe ich gesagt, dass es mein Lieblingsteil ist... Und dann kommt der nächste um die Ecke. Auch jetzt muss ich mich wieder korrigieren. Unterm Strich heißt das wohl, dass alle Teile einfach toll sind. Jedes der drei Girls hat sein Päckchen zu tragen und versucht, Glück in sein Leben zu lassen - und ja, einfach zu leben. Das macht die Geschichten so nahbar, echt und wunderschön. Mehr gibt es da nicht zu sagen.

Family of Liars: Deluxe Edition

Perfect addition to the "We Were Liars" universe. This prequel was as mysterious and wonderfully written as the first one. It had little made up stories to thinkg about. It had lies, love, pretend. It had twists and turns. It had luxury, ice cream and revenge. And it felt like poetry at times, just like the first one did which makes these books so special. Plus they talk about the mesed-up-ness of feelings and reasons for actions which do not always make sense. Overall, one of the best fictions. Hands down. Let's have a bonfire night on an island away and read this through the night.

Stay Sexy & Don't Get Murdered

just going to share some quotes that boosted my mental health, so, it maybe boosts yours, too, and leads you to decide to read this one-of-a-kind-masterpiece of a book. if you love the podcast, you will love this. and even if you don't know the podcast, it's a very, very good read just as much. why? because the stories shared by Karen and Georgia are deeply moving, raw, real and full of life-learnings. Karen: "You deserve to be happy, no matter what your brain tells you." Karen: "We run around making ourselves miserable and insane trying to be the Best One, when we should really be aiming to become Our True Selves. (...) Your imperfections aren't a reason to hide. They're actually a key to connecting with all the other imperfect humans around you." Georgia: "It doesn't have to be perfect, just f***ing do things." Georgia: "You just have to show up, and once you're there, you might as well do your best." Karen: "Because it doesn't matter if you fail. Your trying is what sets the tone of your whole life story. (...) Why not start brave and bold and believing in yourself?"

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder

Thanks for reminding me how much i adore a good murder mystery sleuth story. this had everything i could wish for, loved the writing style, the attention to detail and sprinkles of joy. "He'd told her before that he did it to take away half her sadness, half her headache, half her nerves (...). Because half of a bad thing meant there was room for half good." - a few of my favourite lines.

Truly Devious 3-Book Box Set

was very excited to FINALLY start thsi series and all expectations were met. my murderino-heart is full of joy reading this. it's so compelling, well thought out, so many loose ties that get together again to form the perfect picture. the characters feel real and unique and the writing sucks you right into the story, doesn't let go and makes you turn each page eagerly. part two was an amazing continuation, kept me turning the pages and on the edge of my seat the whole time! and excuse me - what. a. cliffhanger! just a beautiful quote from book 3 to end this trilogy (although it is not really the end, is it?): "The wonderful thing about reality is that it is highly flexible. One minute, all is doom; the next, everything is abloom with possibility." overall, i really enjoyed this. so. much. the revealing scenes in the end...no spoilers here but so cool. the storytelling in these books was very compelling and "flowy" (can you say that?). Just brilliant. all the characters have their charms and quirks which makes the Stevie-Bell-Universe oh so entertaining. perfect read. perfect mood boost. and to quote MFM: this story has it all. It really does. P.S.: i'm just going to say this straight - Nate is my spirit-animal haha.
