This book settles roghtly during the events of season one episode 6. Senator Bail Organa recieved dire news about sith involvement on a planet of unknown location from an anonymus source. So he seeks out Padmé Amidala who has contacts within the Jedi council to hamd over the information. Enter Obi-Wan Kenobi, hero of Christophsis and freshly healed from his injuries during an act of terror to the heart of the republic...and a great dispassion for politicians. Both headstong and stubborn men come to the "agreement" to investigate the matter and don't hold back to show how little they think of each others jobs(?)/life styles. The constant push and pull of their ideals begins to bring light to the people behind all this for both parties and an understanding passes which lays the foundation for the friendship of Kenobi and Organa. The insight of their thoughts of each other or Owi-Wan's towards the Jedi Order are very enlighening as are the glimpses of his past which prove once more that our beloved Jedi has the self preservation instincts of a wet paper towel. I also want to piont out that Bail Organa uses the name of his wife like a protective deity, this is peak husband behavior. This book is definetly a must-read for fans of both men within the Star Wars universe.
