did not know a single thing about this book before i read it. very beautifully written. i could imagine achilles so well (since its from patroclus' perspective) and just did not want to stop reading. it got to a point where i was excited to go home after work to read lol. will reread this sometime :')

My first read left me speechless and it’s by far my favorite book now. Achilles’ story has always been so good and Madeline Miller is such a great author! The doomed Patrochilles is just *chef’s kiss*

The book is definitely for anyone interested in Greek mythology and queer stories. You'd better have your tissues ready, because tears are guaranteed.

Romantische Momente und ein wunderschöner Schreibstil treffen hier auf Krieg, Gewalt und die Gewissheit eines tragischen Schicksals. Tränen garantiert.
