The book's story spans almost 50 years and features various characters, all of whom are somehow involved in the construction of Kingsbridge Cathedral. From builder to noble daughter to archdeacon, many social classes are covered. These diverse characters completely captivate you, regardless of whether they are good or evil. One of my all-time favorite books and an absolute recommendation!
