Fantasy excellence!
I am in awe of Brandon Sanderson. He created such an intricate world that I just utterly got lost in in this second installment. I already loved The way of kings but the second half of this book was even better. Especially the development of certain characters was masterfully done and I am all the more excisted to dive further into Stormlight Archives! The book is over 1.000 pages but it really does not feel like 1.000 pages at all. The pacing is very well done, the changes of the point of views come at the right time and the overall plot is just interesting with a good mix of action, history and political intrigue. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this novel and cannot recommend it enough to fans of complex High Fantasy!
