The Luminous Dead A Novel

This was my first book from the author and what can I say... I LOVE! I loved the claustrophobic, psychological horror, the story was captivating from the start and I just flew through the pages because I just HAD to know what would happen next, what was real and what was caused by imagination and isolation? IT WAS GENIUS! I'm definitely going to read more of Caitlin Starling!

Gyre Price is surrounded by rocks. A thousand and a thousand miles underground in a battery-powered suit is the only chance of her survival. Exploring the tunnels and caves, knowing that she is not fully alone down there. Somewhere are the giant hunting worms. And never forget the Corpses of the Explorers before her. And a grating, self-serving voice as her only line to society, also known as her monitor and patron em. No open food, or you'll die. No loud noise, or you'll die. No bright light, or you'll die. - What a prospect... And what goal does Em really have? I liked this story exceedingly! Starling really is able to let the reader into the story! The loneliness, the madness, the self-doubt, the suspicion—I highly recommend reading it under a blanket for the best feel. ;)
