Must-read for fans of Nesbø and Kepler!
As I have read a lot of crime fiction in the past, I am used to a good deal of suspense, cruelty and horror. Upon starting to read Sveistrup's highly appraised thriller, I soon realized, however, that this brillant piece of fiction is playing in a very different league. It is absolutely recommendable for readers of Jo Nesbø and Lars Kepler and leaves you utterly perplexed by its extraordinary setting and gruesome atmosphere as well as Sveistrup's thought for detail and narrative style. I have not yet watched the famous Netflix series that was based on this thriller but I am most eager to find out if the TV adaptation is as gripping as the book. By far the best thriller that I have read this year.
