Eine wunderschöne Geschichte, die an ein düsteres Märchen erinnert! Der zauberhafte und doch lockere Schreibstil macht es einem fast unmöglich das Buch aus der Hand zu legen. Auch jetzt noch kann ich den Wind flüstern und singen hören. -

“All Near knows. All Near forgets. Or tries.” V. E. Schwab is definitely one of my favourite authors and every writer has their beginnings. I am very happy I finally got to read one of her very first published novels. It's a rather fast paced standablone with a small foggy village and its dark secrets. It is filled with a protagonist who wants to find a way to protect her little sister from someone called "the Near Witch". Intrigued by its somewhat moody background and the way Lexi and the mysterious person connect kept me reading and reading. I would definitely read this book again.
