This is a book children should read in school. It would get humanity and society to a new level. It would have so much more impact on society than the analysis of Faust. U need to take ur time with this book bc some chapters make u want to quit earth.

This book was the first feminist literature I read and was completely eye opening to me. The author digs into every aspect possible and provides sources that show just how little we women are taken into account.

this book made me angry (in more ways than one)

I feel really conflicted about this one. On the one hand, Criado Perez has gone to great lengths in researching a mind-boggling amount of topics—from tech to health to socioeconomics—that highlight the systematic failures women face each and every day on behalf of the gender data gap. It contains a lot of really eye-opening information, but for such a well-researched and data-heavy book that was published in 2019, it is absolutely not okay to just completely ignore trans people and so many other minorities! It even actively perpetuates gender essentialism and the gender binary, using “sex” and “gender” interchangeably throughout the whole book. What Criado Perez researches, she researches exhaustively and well, but I cannot personally recommend a book about disaggregating data for women when it is not more trans, enby, etc. inclusive.
