The Sad Ghost Club Volume 1 Find Your Kindred Spirits

Its a cute graphic novel about two Ghosts who struggle with anxiety and depression. It shows us, that its perfectly okay to be "different" and that we sometimes need someone who listens without judging us.

This is the story about one of those days – a day so bad you can hardly get out of bed, it’s tedious to leave the house and when you do, you wish you hadn’t. The story sends a really good message overall. Especially for those who feel like they’re completely alone with their depression and/or anxiety or with other problems. It sends the message that there are other people out there who feel exactly the same as you. But it also says that it’s okay not to be okay. Sadness and depression, anxiety and loneliness everyone has felt it from time to time, some more than others. The drawings are simple, but sweet and charming and I love the whole motif of people who look like an old Halloween ghost costume, a pretty good metaphor for someone who feels invisible, but also to show that they’re looking for like-minded people. I really enjoyed this book. 'The Sad Ghost Club' is like a warm hug and an open ear on a sad day. It gives you comfort and makes you feel understood and less alone, while it also encourages you to open up your problems to people you trust. I very much hope this book will be translated into German. Truly a big recommendation.

A sweet comic about social anxiety, finding your people and mental health. I adored every single volume of this comic series and will literally recommend this to anyone I come across.
