The Lunar Chronicles Boxed Set: Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, Fairest, Stars Above, Winter

What if Cinderella was a cyborg? Or little Red Ridinghood a runaway trying to figure out what is behind her grandmother's dissappearance? Rapunzel is a hacker locked away in sattelite? And Snow White is basically being driven to insanity as she's held hostage as a Princess? Add a collection of stories and the past of the big bad to the rest and you have the Lunar Chronicles. Marissa Meyer has mannaged to weave these old fairytales into one huge adventure, threw it a longway into a (slightly dystopian) future and decided that being the number one fugitive on earth might be an interesting twist for Cinder's life. It's been some time since I last read a fairytale reimagining as unique and orginal as this one. Deep below you can see the string of the old tales we all (probably) grew up with but Marissa meyer has spun a web of action, adventure, romance and intrigues, making those old tales truly herown in the Lunar Chronicles.
