einfach nur packend und gut geschrieben, hatte mich von Anfang bis Ende im Bann, hat mich nicht mehr losgelassen faszinierende Charakter mit denen man nur mit fiebern kann und Charakter die man hassen muss

sorry, das Buch wird von der Mehrheit so geliebt aber nicht von mir. Fantasy ist nicht unbedingt mein Favorit Genre, obwohl mir die ersten 20% hier sehr gefielen. Das Buch war vielversprechend, da die Atmosphäre so dunkel, kalt, wenn nicht sogar angsteinflössend war (genau was ich wollte!). Letztendlich fand ich die Charaktere flat, distanziert und manchmal uninteressant. Der Autor fokussierte sich mehr auf Plot anstatt auf die Charaktere, aber naja, der Plot war auch nicht so existent (der wird wahrscheinlich intensiver in den nächsten Büchern der Trilogie). Schließlich waren es nur Kampfszenen und nichts weiter. Ich musste mich in der zweiten Hälfte durchkämpfen--nichts war mehr interessant. (Tipp: das Englisch war etwas anspruchsvoll!)

The gods are long dead, and yet the earth still feels wet, almost as if their blood has seeped into the very soil. What they left behind is a cruel, harsh world filled with even harsher people, and three of these people have their own tales to tell. In this epic saga, we follow their respective journeys through Vigrið. Orka is hunting on the trail of her son's abductors, leaving behind a path stained in shades of red and white, littered with bones, viscera, and the occasional limb, while pursuing bloody revenge for everything that has been stolen from her. Elvar is of noble birth, a fact she abhors. So instead of following in her father's footsteps, she tries to make a name for herself among the notorious Battle-Grim, hunting those with godly blood running through their mortal veins. The third one is a former thrall and goes by the name of Vard. His life is anything but easy, but now that he has found a place within the Bloodsworn, it is time to seek retribution for the death of his sister. An absolutely epic story with elements of Norse mythology, intriguing characters, and a bunch of action. Don't miss out on this one!
