We Can Never Leave This Place

With just shy of a hundred pages, this is my shortest LaRocca-Novel yet. Marked by a vivid and gruesomely imaginative writing style, this book explores difficult themes like generational trauma, grief and violence. Let me use this as a trigger warning for child death, sexual abuse and graphic mutilation. The bizarre and unreal scenery took me in immediately and while I felt that there could have been more depth to the characters, this is an absolutely enjoyable horror-story if you go with the flow. If you liked Eric LaRocca's previous works, this is basically a must-read for you! So go on and hold on to this book.
